Fitting guide
How to Fit Your VitalSleep, Step by Step
You fit VitalSleep at home, using your stove. Watch the video first. Then follow the steps below, taken straight from the VitalSleep instruction manual.
Watch the whole video once before you start.
Why a good fit matters
Most snoring comes from a partly blocked airway behind the tongue. The air moving past makes the soft tissue in your nose and throat vibrate. That vibration is the sound of snoring.
VitalSleep helps reduce snoring by moving your lower jaw and tongue forward to help open your airway. A good fit keeps it in place, so it can do that all night.
Before you start
Read the whole guide first. Following every step is key to getting a good fit.

Adjusting VitalSleep
Go slow. Small changes work better than big ones.
First few nights: no forward setting
For the first few nights, sleep with the lower tray not moved forward. This helps your mouth get used to it.
After that, or if your snoring has not gone down, you can start to move the lower tray forward.
How to move the lower tray forward
- Use the included tool. Turn each screw clockwise to the same mark on the indicator.
- Always set both sides to the same position.
- You can push the tray with your finger to guide it.
- If snoring does not go down, move the lower tray forward in small steps.
- Do not over-adjust.
If your jaw or teeth are sore during or after use, move the bottom tray back a little.
Getting used to VitalSleep
Try wearing it for a short time before bed at first. With regular use, you should be able to sleep more comfortably with it, and for longer.
Light soreness can happen for the first few days. When you wake up, your jaw may feel a little forward. This is normal. Your jaw got used to that position while you slept. It goes back to normal after you take the mouthpiece out.
Cleaning and storage
Clean it after each use:
- Rinse the mouthpiece with cold water.
- Brush the whole mouthpiece with a soft toothbrush and toothpaste.
- Rinse again well with cold water.
- Dry it and store it in the protective case that comes with it.
You can also soak VitalSleep in denture cleaner.
