ZQuiet: nothing to prepare
ZQuiet's Comfort line skips molding entirely. Open the box and wear it. For anyone who has looked at a boil-and-bite kit and quietly decided to deal with it another night, that removes the only real barrier to starting.
The hinge is the genuinely different idea. ZQuiet calls it Living Hinge Technology, and it lets your mouth open and close with the device in. You can talk, drink water, and move your jaw side to side. PureSleep, once assembled and molded, holds a fixed position.
The trade-off is fit. Nothing is molded, so the tray is universal, and ZQuiet states that the Comfort model works best with straight front teeth. That is a real limitation, and it is precisely the case PureSleep's molding handles.

PureSleep: one impression, then it is done
PureSleep arrives as two pieces you snap together, and before you mold it you choose one of three configurations depending on whether you have a standard bite, an overbite or an underbite. Then you boil it, bite down, and cool it.
The upside is a tray shaped to your own teeth, which handles bite patterns a universal tray cannot. PureSleep leans on this hard in their own marketing, arguing that a single adaptable design beats competitors who ship two or three sizes.
The downside is that it is a one-way door. Once assembled and molded, the configuration is fixed for the life of the device. If you picked the wrong setting, or the impression came out poorly, you are returning it rather than adjusting it.
The row that is blank on both sides
Look at the table again: fine adjustment. Neither device has it.
Jaw advancement is what decides whether a mouthpiece works and whether it hurts. Too little and you still snore. Too much and you wake up sore and quit in week two. The right number is personal, and you find it by moving in small steps and stopping where the snoring settles.
ZQuiet hands you two numbers and no way to land between them. PureSleep hands you a bite-type configuration and then seals it. Neither is a mechanism for finding your setting. Both are a mechanism for guessing it well.
The second shared gap is sizing. PureSleep is explicitly one universal size. ZQuiet's two sizes are two hinge strengths on the same tray footprint, not two mouth sizes. If either tray is simply too large for your jaw, neither brand has a smaller one.
