HOW VITALSLEEP WORKS

VitalSleep is FDA-cleared for snoring reduction. FDA-cleared does not mean FDA-approved, and it does not mean the product treats sleep apnea or other medical conditions.
Oral appliances may cause temporary soreness, tooth movement, or bite changes in some users. Stop using VitalSleep and contact your dentist if you notice ongoing pain, bite changes, loose teeth, or jaw discomfort.
Stop using it if pain continues or feels severe. You may need to refit the device, reduce the adjustment, or ask your dentist if an oral appliance is appropriate for you.
Talk to your doctor first if you snore loudly, wake up gasping, feel very tired during the day, have high blood pressure, or have been told you stop breathing during sleep. Snoring can be a sign of a medical condition.
VitalSleep is an adjustable mandibular advancement device. It gently holds your lower jaw slightly forward while you sleep, which may help keep your airway more open and reduce snoring. Results vary by person, and it may take several nights to adjust the fit and comfort level.
No. VitalSleep is not a replacement for CPAP or any prescribed sleep apnea treatment. If you use a CPAP or have been diagnosed with sleep apnea, ask your healthcare provider before using VitalSleep.
VitalSleep is intended to reduce snoring. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent sleep apnea or any other medical condition. If you have sleep apnea, suspect you may have sleep apnea, use a CPAP, or have been told you stop breathing during sleep, talk to your doctor or dentist before using VitalSleep.
Yes. VitalSleep is designed so you can breathe through your mouth if needed. This is especially helpful for snorers who have nasal congestion or blockage.
VitalSleep is not recommended for users with a large overbite, as it likely will not fit properly.

FITTING, ADJUSTING & USING VITALSLEEP

Place VitalSleep in hot water for about 45 seconds, let it cool briefly, then insert it into your mouth and gently bite down to form custom teeth impressions. Follow the fitting instructions included with your order. VitalSleep is available in separate sizes for men and women.
VitalSleep has left and right nylon screws that move the lower tray forward or back. Use the included adjustment tool: turning each screw clockwise advances the lower jaw and increases the airway opening.
If your first fit isn’t right, we’ll replace the device for free so you can try again. Email support@vitalsleep.com.
Many users can close their mouth fully with VitalSleep. If the teeth impressions aren’t deep enough, reheating and molding deeper impressions can help. However, users with smaller mouths may find that full closure is limited.
The custom teeth impressions are designed to keep the mouthpiece secure, but it can take a few nights to get used to sleeping with it. If your mouth tends to open wide during sleep, any mouthpiece can come out. We can provide a free chin strap to help keep your mouth closed. Contact us at support@vitalsleep.com to request one.
No. VitalSleep cannot be worn with braces or retainers because it will not fit properly over them.
VitalSleep requires enough stable natural teeth to hold the device securely. Do not use it with loose teeth, unstable dental work, or new implants. Crowns, bridges, partials, and implants should be secure, and you should ask your dentist before use. VitalSleep is generally not recommended for use with full dentures.
Dental implants should be secure and at least one year old before using VitalSleep. Always ask your dentist if VitalSleep is appropriate for your specific dental situation.
No. VitalSleep is not recommended for people with a large overbite because it will likely not fit correctly.

CLEANING, CARE & LONGEVITY

Clean VitalSleep daily with a toothbrush and toothpaste using cool water. You may also use denture cleaning tablets or a mouthpiece cleaning solution according to the cleaner’s instructions. Do not use boiling water after fitting, harsh chemicals, bleach, or abrasive cleaners.
With normal use, VitalSleep is durable and typically lasts 1 year.
Most users can expect VitalSleep to last around a year or longer. We offer free a replacement within the first year if needed. Heavy teeth grinders may see a shorter lifespan. In general, we recommend replacing VitalSleep every 12–36 months or if you notice it has become less effective.

SIZING & FIT QUESTIONS

We recommend that men order the standard men’s size and women order the smaller women’s size, which is about 10% smaller.
Some countries may charge customs duties, taxes, or import fees. These fees are set by the destination country and are the customer’s responsibility.

MATERIALS & SAFETY

VitalSleep is made with polypropylene, EVA, and nylon components. The materials are BPA-free, latex-free, silicone-free, and metal-free, and the device has undergone biocompatibility testing for oral appliance use.
Do not use VitalSleep if you are under 18, have loose teeth, advanced gum disease, severe jaw pain, TMJ disorder, central sleep apnea, a severe breathing disorder, or dental implants less than one year old. If you have crowns, bridges, implants, dentures, partials, or other dental work, ask your dentist before use. Stop using VitalSleep and contact a dentist or healthcare provider if you experience ongoing pain, tooth movement, bite changes, gum irritation, jaw discomfort, or trouble breathing.
FDA-cleared means VitalSleep has been reviewed by the FDA and determined to be substantially equivalent to a similar legally marketed device for reducing snoring.
VitalSleep is manufactured in the USA.

TEETH GRINDING & SPECIAL CONDITIONS

VitalSleep is designed to reduce snoring, not specifically to treat teeth grinding (bruxism). Some users report reduced grinding, but the device may not be strong enough to reliably stop grinding for everyone.
