Zyppah: molded, and betting on the tongue
Zyppah's argument is that advancing the jaw misses the actual blockage for a lot of snorers. Their device is a mandibular mouthpiece with a soft elastic band across it that holds the tongue forward, which the company describes as working like a seatbelt.
That is a real distinction, and ZQuiet has nothing like it. Tongue-driven and jaw-driven snoring are different problems, and almost every mouthpiece on the market only addresses the second.
The cost is commitment. Boil-and-bite sets your jaw position, and Zyppah has no mechanism to change it afterward. If the mold comes out too aggressive you are looking at a remold or a return. And the band is polarizing: with a sensitive gag reflex, an elastic across your tongue is a much harder ask than a plain tray.
ZQuiet: no molding, and a hinge that moves
ZQuiet skips molding entirely on their Comfort line. You open the box and wear it, which means night one takes no preparation at all.
The hinge is the genuinely different idea here. ZQuiet calls it Living Hinge Technology, and it lets your mouth open and close while the device is in. You can talk, drink water, and shift your jaw side to side. Anyone who has felt trapped by a rigid mouthpiece will understand why that matters.
The trade-off is fit. Nothing is molded, so the tray is universal, and ZQuiet states plainly that the Comfort model works best with straight front teeth. Crooked front teeth are the case Zyppah's molding handles and ZQuiet's Comfort line does not.

The thing neither one does
Read the table again and one row is blank on both sides: fine adjustment.
Jaw advancement decides whether a mouthpiece works and whether it hurts. Too little and you still snore. Too much and you wake up sore and quit by week two. The right number is personal, and you find it by moving in small steps.
Zyppah gives you one position, locked in at the mold. ZQuiet gives you two, 2 mm and 6 mm, with nothing between them. If 2 leaves you snoring and 6 makes your jaw ache, ZQuiet has run out of answers and so has Zyppah.
The other quiet gap is sizing. Zyppah is one size. ZQuiet's two sizes are two hinge strengths on the same tray footprint, not two mouth sizes. If either tray is simply too big for your jaw, neither brand has a smaller one.
Cost over a year, not at checkout
The sticker prices on these two are close enough that they should not decide anything. The replacement schedule is a different story.
ZQuiet recommends replacing the mouthpiece every 4 to 6 months. That is two to three units a year. Zyppah's stated lifespan is roughly 9 to 12 months, so call it one. Run the current prices through that and the ranking can flip. Check both sites, since pricing moves on both sides.

Does ZQuiet need to be molded?
No. The ZQuiet Comfort mouthpieces are ready to wear with no boiling or molding. Zyppah uses a boil-and-bite process that shapes the tray to your teeth. ZQuiet's separate Advance model is moldable.
Which one adjusts more?
Neither adjusts in the usual sense. ZQuiet offers two fixed advancement options, 2 mm and 6 mm, and Zyppah offers one position set at the mold. Neither has a mechanism for changing the setting a millimeter at a time.
Which has the better guarantee?
